Spicy Steam fish with fermented bean paste (taucheo) ● Homemade Recipe [Simple & Easy]
Ingredients:
1 slice of garoupa fish (500g)
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons fermented soybean paste (taucheo)
1 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoons oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon water
3 ginger slices
1 shallots (cut to thin slices)
Mince:
1 big red chili (fresh)
4 garlic cloves
2 shallots
1 thumb size ginger
Steps:
Mince red chili, garlic, shallot and ginger
Heat the pan and add 1 tablespoon oil
Sauté minced chili, garlic, shallot and ginger with fermented soybean paste till fragrance
Add 2 tablespoon water, oyster sauce, soy sauce and sugar
Simmer for about 2 minutes
Remove and set aside
Heat the steamer. Place the fish in the steamer.
Add ginger and shallot slices on top
Steam for 2 minutes
Remove the ginger and shallot slices and slight rinse the fish
Replace the fish to the steamer and pour the fermented soybean sauce on top
Steam for another 8-10 minutes
Serve immediately
