This video shows the method to prepare Chilli Fish.
Ingredients to fry the fish:-
Seer Fish - 1/2 kg
All Purpose Flour (Maida) - 3 tablespoons
Corn Flour - 1 tablespoon
Baking Powder - 1/4 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Chilli Powder - 1 tablespoon
Pepper Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - To taste
Soda - As required to mix the batter
Oil - As required to fry the fish
Ingredients for the gravy:-
Onion - 2, chopped into cubes
Capsicum - 1, cut into cubes
Green Chillies - 6, cut into circles
Garlic - 5, cut into circles
Garlic - 1 inch, chopped well
Tomato Sauce - 2 table spoon
Soya Sauce - 1 teaspoon
Oyster Sauce - 1 teaspoon
Method:-
1) Mix the ingredients to fry the fish with soda.
2) Coat the fish well with this batter.
3) Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the fish.
4) After frying, take out the fish and place them on a tissue paper, so that excess oil would be removed.
5) Into the same oil, add green chillies, garlic and ginger and sauté for a few minutes.
6) Add onion and sauté.
7) Then add capsicum and sauté well.
8) Once the onion becomes translucent, add the sauces and mix water.
9) Add required water and bring to boil.
10) Add salt as required.
11) Once the gravy is boiled, add the fried fish and mix well.
12) Do not cook for long, so that the crispiness of the fish would not be lost.
13) Serve hot.
