Sambal Nasi Lemak is one of the easiest Chilli Condiment paste to make in the Thermomix. Here are the ingredients and method :
- 100gm Red Chillies
- 3-4 Bird's Eye Chillies (add more if you want more heat)
- 1 tablespoon toasted Shrimp Paste (Belacan)
- 10-12 Shallots
- 1 big brown onion
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- 2-3 tablespoons of tamarind pulp juice
- 1 tablespoon of sugar (or depending on taste)
- 1-2 tablespoon of peanut oil (or any vegetable oil)
1. Pour everything in, and blend for 15 seconds on Speed 6.
2. Cook at 100deg for 15-20 minutes (depending on your taste buds for a more roasted flavour), speed 1-2.
That's it. You can double the portion, and cook for the same amount of time. Keeps well in the fridge. YUM!
