(4 Dec 2017) Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated on Monday that his country is opposed to North Korea's nuclear development programme, "regardless" of UN Security Council resolutions.
Speaking in Beijing during a meeting with Mongolian Foreign Minister Damdin Tsogtbaatar, Wang added that China has been "persistently working on peace talks."
Wang's comments come a week after North Korea test-fired its most powerful missile ever, an ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) that may be able to target the eastern seaboard of the United States.
