Award-winning publisher and NJ poet David Messineo - as of 2015, among the 35 longest-serving poetry editors and independent literary magazine publishers still active in America - revisited some states and series where he'd previously featured, in what he envisioned as one of his final multi-state poetry tours. In this clip, he is in New Hampshire, one of about 10 states revisited in his monthly 2013-2014 tour. In this appearance at Newbury Library in Newbury, NH - in a series hosted by fellow poet Dianalee Velie - David presented a brief set of several poems from Historiopticon, including this rare live performance of his villanelle, "The Half-King" which, as he puts it "attempts to sum up the French & Indian War in 21 lines" - and does.
