Ruptly will be live from the Turkish city of Kilis near the Syrian border on Monday, February 8 where thousands of refugees are expected to cross to escape the fighting in Aleppo.
During a press conference on February 5, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that up to 70,000 people are expected to head to the border to cross into Turkey.
The city of Aleppo is divided into government-controlled areas and others controlled by anti-Assad forces. On February 4, Syrian armed forces and militias loyal to the Syrian government, successfully lifted the siege by anti-government fighters on the towns of al-Zahraa and Nubl, marking the first major attack north of Aleppo by government forces since the Russian airstrikes began on September 30.
