In this video VOICED THE AND UNVOICED TH CONSONANT SOUND PAIR | EASY NATIVE ENGLISH We have another two sounds that are similar. The 'THE' is voiced and the 'TH' is unvoiced. This means, the voiced 'THE' sound creates a vibration in the vocal chords when it is pronounced and you can feel this vibration when you put your hand over the front of your neck, but no vibration is felt when you pronounce the TH sound. In the 'TH' sound the air just moves through your mouth. The 'TH' sound is made by blowing air through your mouth as you bring your lips together and then forcing the air though your lips opening them as the air comes out. 'THE' is produced in the same way, but this time, using a greater pressure to push the air out from your throat, causing your vocal chords to vibrate.
