Shocking aerial footage shows a 200-people crowd gathering in Daytona Beach, Florida, in defiance of social distancing rules.

A shooting also occurred nearby, sending several people to hospital.

According to Sheriff Mike Chitwood, a man making a rap video encouraged a crowd when he started throwing money from a car.

Police arrived at the scene to disperse the crowd blocking the road, but no arrests have been made.

Official say the gathering was part of an annual event called “Orland invades Daytona”.

Florida’s coronavirus social distancing rules instruct that people must be in a group of 10 or fewer.
