DAVID HAMILTON: Piano Concerto

The second of our films from the 2017 Westlake Symphony Orchestra Recordings is David Hamilton’s ‘Piano Concerto’. In three movements, the work was written for the Westlake Symphony Orchestra in 2005 when it was known as the Taharoto Orchestra. Sean Yang, who can be seen in other works playing percussion for the orchestra, delivers the solo piano part in this recording conducted by David Squire and recorded by Larry Elliott of Vivante Recordings.
