Gp had diagnosed with wax occluding the ear canal as a cause of the hearing issue. Routine endoscopic wax removal was carried out by Mr Rhys Barber in clinic. On examination deeper in the ear canal a Cholesteatoma was discovered in the attic region. A Cholesteatoma is an uncommon abnormal collection of skin cells inside your ear. If left untreated, it can continue to grow and damage the delicate structures deep inside your ear, such as the tiny bones and organs essential for hearing and balance.
