AirRebirth - Nicosia International Airport

This is the AirRebirth video presentation, one of the three competing groups of the 2015 Integrated Design for Civil and Geomatics Engineers II Year 2 Class at the Cyprus University of Technology. The focus of the project was the development of an international aviation hub in the premises of Nicosia International Airport, which remains closed since the invasion of 1974. The students were asked to research, analyze and design a modern aviation hub, focusing on planning (spatial use and transport), building facilities, sustainability and business model for a viable investment. The students were also asked to revive and integrate the existing terminal building in their proposal as a memorial site.
