SchenkelShultz has been tasked with the overall planning and design on the new South Airport APM and Intermodal Terminal Facility at Orlando International Airport. The new facility will feature a variety of transportation modes including an APM connecting up with the North Terminal, All Aboard Florida rail service originating in Miami, ground transportation connectivity, and adaptability to accept future SunRail and Light Rail modes in the future. The facility has an attached parking garage, and ultimately becomes the first phase of development for the future South Terminal Complex currently being planned and designed for at Orlando International Airport. The facility creates a seamless passenger transition for travelers of all different modes that highlights the overall Orlando Experience. This video was prepared in conjunction with Hensel Phelps for the October 2, 2013 GOAA Board Meeting. The design is continuously evolving, so be sure to keep an eye open for future updates on this exciting project!
