46115 Scots Guardsman Santa Special 15/12/2019

In this brief video we see the final Santa Special of the year on the mainline with out friends at West Coast Railways this time running on the Carnforth, Hellifield, Blackburn & Preston circuit. The locomotive chosen was David Smith's ex LMS Royal Scot 46115 Scots Guardsman. We start at Carnforth in glourious sunshine as we see the scot accelerating away from Carnforth at the begining of the little north western route towards Hellfield with 13 coaches & a small assistances from West Coast 47 47746 Chris Fudge at the rear. For the return run I was planning on seeing the scot crossing over the river lune but unfortunetly the light was fading & the rain arrived. So we end this video at Lancaster station with the arrival of the scot for the 1st drop off point.
