Double Heading In The Northern Fells 2/2/2019

In this brief video of Harnetty Railways. We see the 2nd Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express of 2019 but with a big twist. In the Northern Fells the train was double header by David Smith's ex Merchant Navy class Bulleid Pacific 35018 British India Line & leading the train was the highlight making her 1st mainline revenue earning run following completion of her mainline overhaul at Carnforth was David Buck's ex LNER B1 61306 Mayflower. We start at Penrith North Lakes on the WCML as we see the pair in fine fettle as they speed past us on the last stretch to Carlisle. We next catch them on the return journey at the beginning of The Settle & Carlisle at the junction were the line from Carlisle diverges were the line to the far right goes along the Tyne Valley towards Newcastle. Here we see them pic up speed as they head down The Settle & Carlisle. We end this video at Lancaster following a successful mainline charter comeback for 61306 Mayflower in company of 35018 British India Line heads for home back to Carnforth.
