A very generous subscriber donated an RTL-SDR DVB-T TV Tuner dongle to the channel (Thanks John N!). This video gives a very brief introduction to these very inexpensive software defined radios. These little receivers can be picked up for $20 (or less!), and the software to run them is available for free, such as SDRsharp (SDR#) and HDSDR. A couple of very good links to get you started, including a really great "getting started" page which walks you through, step-by-step, getting your first RTL-SDR up and running:
