A powerful storm hitting the Northern California brought heavy snow and gusty winds to the Tahoe region on Monday, covering the ground with almost 50 centimetres of snow.
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a winter storm warning in the area until Tuesday night, predicting an estimate of 90 centimetres of snow in several mountainous regions.
The storm could bring possible travel delays, as well as the potential for debris flows in recent burn areas.
