A New York bus was left hanging from an overpass after plunging off an expressway in the Bronx area.

Nine people were injured when the MTA bus plummeted from a 49-foot-bridge at 11pm local time.

The driver was among them, and was receiving treatment in hospital. The others, all passengers, escaped with minor injuries.
