A Panamanian ship has broken in two off the coast of Japan, spilling gallons of crude oil.
The 39,910-tonne Crimson Polaris was carrying wood chips when it ran aground on Wednesday.
It managed to free itself, but was unable to move far before splitting in two, due to bad weather.
