Ingredients:
500g fresh squid, cut into florets
1 egg
200g crispy powder
100g potato starch
3 tbsp Woh Hup Sweet & Sour Sauce
Seasoning Mix:
½ tsp chicken seasoning powder
½ tsp sugar
½ tsp salt
A little pepper
A little ginger juice
1 tbsp potato starch
Side Ingredients:
20g diced onions
30g pineapple cubes
20g diced red bell peppers
20g diced green bell peppers
Preparation method:
1. First marinate the squid florets with seasoning mix.
2. Mix crispy powder with potato starch, set aside. Dip marinated squid in egg, then coat evenly with powder mix and deep-fry in pot until golden brown. Drain off and place onto serving dish.
3. Stir-fry side ingredients in pot, drain oil and set aside.
4. In a separate pot, add Woh Hup Sweet & Sour Sauce and 3 times the amount of water. Bring to boil and thicken with a little potato starch. Dress squid with side ingredients and gravy. Ready to serve.
