I take a hike up the old road here in town to go metal detecting at a site that has long been abandoned. This is a cellar hole now that was once a home site where a house used to be. Sharing some of the history of the property i show the simple way that i make maps of the locations that i metal detect.
Using my Garrett ATGOLD detector i find a tomb button from the 1700s and then by surprise i find an 1866 shield nickel in the ground under a beer can , whoa ! Join me for a hike and some history.
