Venezuela Raid: Trump Calling the Shots According to Arrested US Citizen

Venezuela has arrested 13 alleged mercenaries, including at least two US citizens, whom President Nicolas Maduro is calling “professional American mercenaries”.

One of the men detained, Luke Denman, has said under interrogation that President Donald Trump was giving orders to ex-US military serviceman Jordan Goudreau.

He has claimed responsibility for what Venezuelan authorities say was a botched attempt to unseat their leader Nicolas Maduro.

The Venezuelan president is requesting the extradition of Jordan Goudreau for allegedly organising a raid to overthrow his government.
