Varanasi is one of the oldest city in India. Regarded as the spiritual capital of India, the city draws Hindu pilgrims who bathe in the Ganges River’s sacred waters and perform funeral rites. Activities: 1. Subah-e-Banaras: Programme starts at 5 am with Ganga Aarti, then bhajans followed by yoga. Subah Banaras is organised every morning, for about 5 years straight now on the Assi Ghat. 2. A Walk in the Ghats of Varanasi There are 87 ghats in the banks of the river ganges. 3. Kasi Vishwanathar Temple, Kala Bairava Temple, Dhurga Temple Kashi Vishwanath Temple is one of the most famous temple in Varanasi, also known as the Golden temple dedicated to the Lord Shiva. 4. Manikarnika and Harishchandra Ghats Manikarnika Ghat is one of the holiest river fronts, alongside the river Ganga. Manikarnika and Harishchandra Ghats are dedicated to the cremation ritual. 5. Kusthi at Akhara Men of all ages practice a traditional form of wrestling known as kushti or pehlwani inside the muddy wrestling rings. 6. Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat at 6 pm.
