V20150497 - ADF supports Australian Government contingent

The ADF provided logistic and communication support for an Australian Government contingent visiting Torres Strait communities in Far North Queensland from 23-28 August 2015. The ADF supported a contingent of approximately 120 people including the Prime Minister, ministers, parliamentarians, support staff and senior public servants at Thursday Island and Bamaga Defence establishments. The support included provision of accommodation, food and communication support by Australian Army soldiers from 17th Combat Service Support Battalion and 51st Far North Queensland Regiment.
