The Wedding of the Mice by the Taiyuan Puppet Theatre Company is based on the old Taiwanese New Year folk tale The Mouse Bride. The story begins with an old lady reminiscing about a wonderful childhood experience. When she was a little girl, she mistakenly entered the Mouse Mansion where she got acquainted with two young mice lovers.The innovative play which combines traditional Taiwanese glove puppets, a rod puppet and a storyteller, introduces the audience to a beautiful and magical world. 在台灣的習俗中，年初三晚上是老鼠娶親的日子，必須提早就寢，並在角落撒下鹽、米、糕屑等食物，供老鼠食用。由一位老太太回憶兒時的奇妙經驗展開。聰明且善良的小女孩誤闖老鼠府，結識了一對小老鼠情侶阿郎和珍珠，這對青梅竹馬即將面臨被拆散的痛苦，小女孩同情之際，機智地想出方法讓有情人終成眷鼠，整個故事發展就如同童謠般吟唱著。
