After the completion of the opening run of the first Swanage through train to Wareham and back to Swanage, which was entirely reserved for special guests, the second train ran two hours later, leaving Swanage at 12.23. This was perhaps even more important than the inaugural one as it was the first to carry public paying passengers. Here we see it, once again headed by the Railway's Crompton diesel no. D6515, running beneath the A351 main road south of Corfe Castle and then leaving the Swanage branch at Worgret Junction. Four trains a day run daily except Monday and Friday until September 3rd.
