Structure Fire destroys school bus garage and buses 02/23/18

SOUTH WHITEHALL, PA ~ At 03:10 Lehigh County sent Station 26 to a smoke investigation on Stadium Drive in the area of the Parkland School District bus garage. The Chief arrived and found heavy smoke pushing from all sides and roof of the bus garage and upgraded the box to a working fire bringing the balance of South Whitehall companies and Engine 4 from Whitehall as the F.A.S.T. Crews used multiple large hand lines and a tower ladder. On arrival, many explosions could be heard from inside the building. It took approximately one hour to bring the fire under control. At lease 8 buses were damaged inside the building. The school district was closed Friday.
