Barcelona politicians including first minister of Catalonia Artur Mas and Miquel Iceta also attended the traditional flower ceremony, which saw all sing the national anthem and flowers being laid at the statue of former Barcelona mayor, Rafael Casanova. Hundreds of Catalonians who joined in to sing the national anthem were also met with anti-Catalonia protesters from 'Platform for Catalonia.'
