The vast majority of the world has a drinking age limit of 18 or younger. In these countries, drinking alcohol is not considered a 'big deal.' It's a part of life. Kids grow up around liquor at a younger age and don't make it such a big deal to get wasted every weekend.
But in the USA, the drinking age limit is 21 and it's strictly enforced. In fact, it's the most strictly enforced I've seen out of ANY country in the world. We make drinking a huge deal, and therefore, teenagers have to sneak it in which can be problematic.
I just cannot understand how AMERICANS at 18 YEARS OLD can LEGALLY vote, marry, gamble, serve in the military, buy cigarettes, marijuana -- but not a beer? Something is not right here, and I think the age limit should be lowered to 18.
