What does the Bible say about alcohol?

I’ve heard people argue that the wine mentioned in the Bible was non-alcoholic, however, we have examples in the Bible where people drank too much wine and became drunk. That can only happen if the wine was alcoholic. The idea that alcohol is sinful originated around the time when Welch invented non-alcoholic grape juice. Up until that point, there was no stigma about drinking alcohol, and in many countries, they’ve never had a problem with alcohol.
