This is an exquisite 1961 vintage King Super 20 “Silver Sonic” tenor sax, serial number 379590. The Silver Sonic features a sterling silver bell as well as a double socket sterling silver neck with under-slung octave key. It also shows off lovely floral engraving across the bell and sunburst pattern on the B and Bb keys. These horns are very famous for their powerful free blowing character. This one plays with a particularly nice amount of punch and its sonic flexibility is quite exceptional. All of the key pearls are in great shape on this sax allowing for a comfortable feel. This Super 20 is currently being professionally set-up in the Saxquest shop and comes in perfect playing condition. This saxophone is set-up with premium leather pads and metal resonators.
