Twenty-two people have been injured after a large fire tore through over 15 residential houses in Rostov-on-Don, Monday. Five of the wounded have been hospitalised. The fire has already covered more than 10,000 square metres leading to the evacuation of 500 local residents. Emergency services vehicles were deployed as part of efforts to tackle the blaze. Although the cause of the fire remains unknown, residents have not ruled out potential arson. “[Previously] they told us that we are not wanted here and they will look for investors [for the territory]. Seems like they’ve found an investor and now brought fire on us,” said resident Valentina Simamonyan.
