RUGID Coolers Pressure Relief/Fast Drain System Demo & Review

The RUGID cooler line-up seals so tight that a pressure relief valve is necessary to allow air in for draining (while lid is closed), and in some instances, to release pressure to allow the cover to open easier. The air tight seal means maximum ice retention. By keeping the lid closed during draining excess water you keep the cold air in, making ice last longer. RUGID coolers offer a premium seal, cam-lock latches and the pressure relief valve. Options not seen (or necessary?) on other high-end coolers like Yeti or RTIC.
