Revise with me! In this video ETETutor defines the term 'Hyperbole' and analyses an example taken from Macbeth by William Shakespeare
This subject terminology is very important as it applies to both GCSE English Literature and GCSE English Language. When analysing non-fiction, fiction, literary texts and poetry you'll need to explain why hyperbole has been used and what impact it has on the reader. When completing your 'Transactional' and 'Creative/Imaginative' writing tasks you may want to use hyperbole.
Good luck with your studies!
