Putin responds to US-imposed sanctions

Congress has passed a bill imposing new sanctions on Russia, even though alleged Russian “meddling” in the 2016 US election, the primary reason for the sanctions, remains unproven. Russian President Vladimir Putin responded by seizing two US embassy compounds and ordering the reduction of US diplomatic staff in Russia.
