Philippians 2:12 (NLT) "Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear." It is important to follow the teachings in the scripture whether the Teacher is present or not. When you follow a teachers instruction when they are NOT present is the ultimate display and test of loyalty. Staying true, sometimes, takes work. People must work for their salvation.
