Kapila river is near Nanjangud in Mysuru & people usually wash their clothes & bather here too. Many of the surrounding villagers come here to wash their vehicles. The industries in the surrounding areas release the effluents & toxic waste into the river hence polluting it. Since then the aquatic life in Kapila river has taken a hit & the fishes are dying & also the surrounding environment is being polluted too. Today the organisations removed all the garbage & old heaps of clothes from the river gor a cleaner & greener mysuru.
