On cam: Armed robbers shoot jewellery store owner after scuffle

Armed men in Ahmedabad fired bullets at a jewelry shop to scare owners and rob the shop. Three men who arrived on a motorcycle fired four rounds in a jeweler’s shop in New Gandhinagar at 8:30 pm in the night. The owner of the shop, Kamlesh Jain, was shot in his shoulder and was taken to hospital. Luckily, the shop owners along with others managed to thwart the robbery bid. A senior police official said the robbers fired four rounds, one of which hit Jain. The robbers then fled as people began to gather at the spot. Senior police officials reached the spot and ordered roadblocks at all entry and exit points of Gandhinagar. Source: Times of India.
