OGD'S POLITICAL FAMILY MEETING WHERE SUPPORTERS APPEALED TO HIM TO LEAD THEM TO APC

The political family of former Ogun State Governor, Gbenga Daniel, has perfected plans to formally join the All Progressives Congress,  APC, after working for the success of the party in the just concluded governorship election in the state. A meeting of members of the family who originally belong to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,  held in Shagamu on Sunday after which Daniel told journalists that his followers had pleaded with him to lead them to the APC. Though he failed to confirm whether or when that will happen, Daniel said he will consider the appeal carefully as the "people have spoken." Daniel had announced his resignation from partisan politics in a March 14th, 2019 letter he addressed to the National Chairman of the PDP, Uche Secondus, citing personal reason and need to get engaged in other vocations and take on some new challenges. But his followers have rejected the decision based on the discussions at the Shagamu meeting on Sunday.
