All you need
coconut oil 2 tbsp
chopped green chilli 3
chopped garlic 6
chopped ginger 1 piece
chopped onion 1
curry leaves
chopped tomato 1
tamarind water 1 cup
coconut grated 1 1/2 cup
turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
uluva powder 1/2 tsp
chilli powder 1 tsp
coriander powder 1 tbsp
salt
fish 700 gm
For temepring
coconut oil 1 tsp
mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
uluva seeds 1/4 tsp
curry leaves
Method
Heat coconut oil. Saute onion,chilli,garlic and ginger till pale brown. Add curry leaves and tomato. Saute well till tomato is mushy.Add tamarind water and coconut paste. Add all spice powders with salt. Cover and cook for 7 minutes till gravy is thick.Arrange fish pieces in a chatti. Transfer this gravy to fish in chatti. Cover and cook fish for 5 minutes. Remove chatti from fire.Temper mustard and uluva in coconut oil. Add curry leaves and pour this over malabar fish curry. Serve this delicious fish curry with rice.
