Alexey Yablokov is Doctor of Biological Sciences (PhD), former member of parliament of the Soviet Union, environmental adviser to President Yeltsin and Gorbachev administration, member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, co-author of "Chernobyl : Consequences of the Catastrophe for People and the Environment ".
It is during this talk about the many negative impacts of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, either on humans or the environment, including in contaminated areas with low doses of radiation.
We also recall that there, too, lies and cover-ups have been the rule of the authorities, be it Soviet or international.
Many attitudes and perils found inevitably, alas, Japan following the Fukushima disaster.
The conclusion of Dr. Yablokov is that the nuclear industry poses to humanity and our planet as much risk with central that nuclear weapons.
