The Supreme Leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un, has sanctioned an increase of North Korea’s nuclear deterrence.

He chaired a meeting with leaders of the Workers’ Party of Korea Central Military Commission.

North Korean state media (KCNA) reported the Supreme Leader discussed putting strategic armed forces on a high alert.

However KCNA has not commented on when the meeting took place or when the footage was filmed.
