Erupting East Vent in the Pu'u O'o crater during a period of heightened activity in February, 2005.
Recorded February 21, 2005.
Pu'u O'o is a dynamic volcanic vent, so you may see different landscapes on its crater depending on when the video was taken. Its geologic features are continuously collapsing and rebuilding over very short periods of time.
Update: These spatter cones no longer exist. The entire floor of the crater collapsed in July, 2007. The crater has refilled and collapsed several times since then. New features are frequently built up and destroyed within short times.
