Kakamega BBI showdown

A showdown is looming in Kakamega county between two rival groups who have planned separate meetings on the building bridges initiative with leaders allied to opposition chief Raila Odinga vowing to proceed with their forum at Bukhungu stadium to deliberate not only about the document but also the region’s political positioning ahead of 2022. On the same day, a section of Jubilee, ANC and ford Kenya MPs, under the western Kenya regional parliamentary caucus have also organized a meeting at Nabongo sports ground in Mumias to discuss what they termed as the region's depreciating economy. the police have however warned the group of planning such a rally which they termed as illegal
