India protests: ‘The police started beating people’

Protests have been taking place outside the state building of Uttar Pradesh in New Delhi over allegations of police brutality and excessive force. At least 18 people have been killed across Uttar Pradesh during two weeks of demonstrations against a controversial new citizenship law.
