Aafreen Rehman was sent her instant triple talaq (divorce) through a speed post in 2016. She decided to fight this draconian law and became one of the first petitioners in a landmark lawsuit that eventually got the Supreme Court to ban instant Tripe Talaq in India & moved the Government of India to bring a law against instant triple talaq.
