homemade mechanical cow....with small pulley

This is how I made a mechanical cow for cutting training....the white pulley end is set up with a chain so that I can easily tighten the rope if it sags too much..just move the links over on the hook to tighten....the motor is a marathon instant reverse motor which cost about $280....the controlling switch is a 9 pole reverse switch which cost about $23....the side of the motor tells you how to wire the switch..I use different size pulleys on the motor to change speed...smaller pulley (1 1/2") for slower and larger pulley for faster...it takes less than 1 minute to change the pulley out..total cost including rope , pulleys and wiring was about $360.00...you need 5 wires to wire up the 9-pole switch...I used an old extension cord and added two wires.....4-17-2014...please email questions to [email protected] can't seem to reply to questions directly on youtube for some reason.... 01/01/2017....Wow I never thought this would get so much attention...just wanted to let folks know that I now have pictures of the wiring of the motor and switch available....just email me at [email protected]...
