France: European Parliament fails to pass resolution banning kebab additives

The European Parliament narrowly defeated a resolution banning phosphate additives in industrial meats, in Strasbourg, on Wednesday. The result of the vote was 373-272, with 30 abstentions. Although the majority of the European Parliament members voted to ban phosphate additives in doner kebabs, the resolution failed to gain the majority of 376 votes required to pass the resolution.
