In terms of what both fitness watches offer, both will track your steps, calories, distance, etc. They’ll both track your workouts and exercises and both have move reminders and daily goals to keep you on track. Both smartwatches will also relay incoming smartphone notifications and have interchangeable bands. The major advantages the new Fitbit Ionic smartwatch has over the Blaze is that it offers music storage and Pandora compatibility, it has an actual GPS & GLONASS chip compared to just Connected GPS with the Blaze and you have access to the Fitbit App gallery with the Ionic. The Ionic also features Fitbit Pay, it’s water resistant and supports swimming. The Fitbit Blaze on the other hand has better battery life, a sleeker, more attractive design and it’s cheaper.
