Hello there, been researching for some time on different types of antennas mainly for portable / temporary installation. After watching some videos and reading reviews online, I decided to go with the Hy End Fed 100w classic for 10-15-20-40m. This video shows how I set it up in my yard using some military surplus poles.
At the end of the video you'll see a clip working KP4FD 1300 miles away in Puerto Rico, Wow! Notice that I'm using the antenna with factory settings, no tuner, no radials, no counterpoise, etc.
So far so good, very impressed with the service from HyEnd Co., the quality and performance of the antenna, highly recommended.
Next I plan to get a 40ft spiderpole for field operations, stay tuned.
