Electrical Substation Fire Causes Power Outage In Fullerton

06.07.2019 | 11:20 PM | FULLERTON - A fire at a electrical substation caused a large power outage, Thursday night. Authorities responded to reports of an explosion and subsequent fire at the Southern California Edison substation located in the 200 block of East Walnut Avenue around 11:20 PM. Units arriving on scene found fire coming from a circuit breaker box and quickly extinguished the flames within 15 minutes. A large power outage occurred as a result of the fire but Southern California Edison officials were able to restore service within an hour.
